Client Question/Problem.

Ok, so I downloaded the client last night, and I got everything to work, but when I type my username and password then hit enter, I wait a couple of minutes, but nothing happens. It just says, "Error Cannot Connect To The Server." Can someone tell me what to do to fix this?
